Experimental Development— Project(s) initiated to complete technological advances for the intent of developing new, or improving existing, materials, devices, products or processes, including incremental improvements.
Support Work—Project(s) that directly supports and is commensurate with the requirements of basic research, applied research, and experimental development in the following fields: engineering, design, testing, operations research, mathematical analysis, computer programming, data collection, and psychological research.
